“I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land.”— Jon Stewart (via basedgodzilla)
last night at around 1am i was handed a sheaf of paper with the title Tao Te Ching (a sort of Taoist handbook) and told to read. as can be expected on a saturday night with term papers due in the next few weeks i was mild-to-severely intoxicated. i read the whole thing in a matter of minutes, minutes it should be mention, filled with the shotgunning of beers, dubstep induced dance party, and RA induced citation (this cause the music to be shut off and an en mass migration to the parkade (what the canadians call parking lots) to commence). despite these external factor i could still really appreciate the text, which seemed to cover every topic imaginable with great wisdom, and those issues which are currently pertinent seemed to be explicitly highlighted. i don’t really have a point or purpose for this anecdote, but occasionaly y life isn’t as dull and grey as these stupid vancouver skies.
